Due to the forecasted adverse weather conditions, there are some changes to the scheduled Christmas Lights event in Retford on Sunday 24th November.
The Retford festivities will take place as planned this Sunday with some proposed changes. Families and guests will be able to enjoy a range of market and craft stalls inside the Town Hall, visit Santa and enjoy some delicious food & drink from local food vendor wagons while the Christmas lights switch-on will take place at 5pm. Unfortunately, the decision has been made to cancel all main stage entertainment and the outdoor market.
Public safety is absolutely paramount, and with the current and predicted upcoming weather conditions from storm Bert, the difficult decision has been made to reduce the scale of this year’s event to ensure families can enjoy the seasons festivities in comfort.
