North Notts Food Fest is fast approaching on Saturday 1st July in Worksop. The event will be held at Worksop Old Market Square and down onto Bridge Street with lots of food & drink stalls, street entertainment, live cookery demonstrations and much more!

The day will start from 10am, with a range of cooking related activities throughout the day, lasting until 4pm. Penney Poyzer is our fantastic host, introducing our talented chefs. Gregg Wallace is our celebrity headline chef and will be performing two live demonstrations. These are taking place at 12:15pm and 2:45pm. Gregg is being preceded by festival favourite Teresa Bovey at 11am who will be demonstrating some quick and simple recipes that can be produced in your own microwave. The School of Artisan Food’s Toby Doy, will also be demonstrating healthy, cost-effective recipes that can be replicated at home in his demo at 1.30pm. Head to the Main Marquee to enjoy these fantastic demos.

Love a cocktail? Watch ‘Mixed Colours’ live mixology demonstrations at 1pm and 3:30pm, for some inspiring cocktail recipes. They will be joined in the smaller marquee by ‘Buffet The Vampire Slayer’, also known as Beth Davies, who was a contestant on BBC Three’s ‘Hungry For It’ in 2022. She will be demonstrating her Instagram-able take on trendy Bao buns at 2pm.

The Bassetlaw Food Insecurity Network are attending, hosting the ‘Classmate’s Kitchen Challenge’ – where 4 local schools will be championing their budding chefs! A huge thank you to the schools involved: Redlands Primary and Nursery School – Worksop, Ramsden Primary School, Rampton Primary School and Carr Hill Primary School. Another thank you goes to Bassetlaw Community and Voluntary Service, BCVS, for supporting the event.

Head to the Children’s Activity Marquee from 10am to take part in biscuit decorating, a great way to keep the kids entertained. The School of Artisan Food will also be in the same marquee, running focaccia bread making classes. The first session begins at 11am with the next at 3pm. There is lots of great street entertainment throughout the day, with TikTok sensations ‘Granny Turismo’ dancing along with the crowds. ‘Dinner Ladies’ will also be entertaining the general public with their comedic street show. Catch the classic Punch & Judy performances, too, taking place on Bridge Street next to Cloud 9 face painting and children’s fairground rides.

Alongside all our talented chefs’ food, the town will be filled with a phenomenal range of food & drink stalls. Appearances include the Carroll Bros Fish & Chip van, selling their iconic chip cones, Outlaw Cookie Club, Project Donut, Riviera Iced Tea and so many more!

This is a great family day out, not to be missed! Check out our Facebook event page to be kept up to date: https://fb.me/e/4BDsrixxK.
