North Notts BID would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year! As another year comes to an end, North Notts BID would like to reflect on 2025 and look back on some of this year’s fabulous events and successful projects…
January
– We exhibited at North Notts College’s Health & Wellbeing event, talking to the students about the fabulous Walksafe app
February
– We launched North Notts Radio, your very own localised radio station playing music from the 80s to today’s biggest hits whilst offering BID members FREE adverts
March
– We installed an extra six defibrillators across the Bassetlaw district, bringing the total of operational defibs we have installed to 28
– We celebrated International Women’s Day on Saturday 8th March by welcoming three new female board members
– On Friday 21st March, we were delighted to be the headline sponsor of the North Notts Business Women’s Awards, taking place at North Notts Arena
– We were the winners of the ‘Best Town/Borough Scheme’ award at the National Best Bar None Awards held on Tuesday 25th March at the House of Lords in London
April
– On Wednesday 23rd April, we held the second North Notts Best Bar None Awards for 2025, held at The Elms Hotel in Retford
May
– We held the second Cirque du North Notts event at The Old Market Square in Worksop, attracting large crowds
– We installed three beautiful Poppy Sculptures in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of VE day across Bassetlaw, including Worksop and Retford town centres and Harworth & Bircotes Civic Square
June
– On Wednesday 18th June, we held a ‘Netwalking’ event at Clumber Park NT with Barclays, giving business owners & employees networking opportunities and the chance to find out more about financial support available
July
– North Notts Food Fest took place in Worksop on 4th July, with John Torode as the headline celebrity chef
August
– On Friday 15th August, North Notts BID was delighted to hold a commemorative event in Worksop to pay tribute to all those who served in the Far East and the Pacific
– We partied hard at Party in The Square on bank holiday Sunday 24th August, with Oasis tribute act ‘Oasiz’ headlining the event
– We held one of our ever-popular Fire Marshal Training courses to over 24 BID Member employees
September
– On Tuesday 30th September, we held an Emergency First Aid Training at Work training course to 24 BID members
October
– Held the first North Notts Business Expo event at Ye Olde Bell Hotel
– Partnered with Smoke Screen to deliver the first Fight Back Against Business Crime event in North Notts
– Completed a litter pick in Worksop town centre with other local businesses
– We brought back the pumpkin patch to Worksop & Retford town centres in partnership with the Discover Worksop and Discover Retford groups
November
– We brought the festive cheer to Bassetlaw with Christmas Lights events in Worksop, Retford, Harworth & Bircotes and Tuxford
– Delivered over 60 Christmas trees for FREE to BID Member schools across Bassetlaw
– We held a First Aid for Mental Health training course to employees from BID Member businesses, providing a Level 2 qualification upon completion

– Delivered 200+ personal attack alarms to female staff from BID member businesses across Bassetlaw
