Have you got the bottle to put your tap on the app?

North Notts BID, the NHS and Bassetlaw District Council have joined forces to become ‘Refill Champions’ for Bassetlaw.

Refill’ is a scheme that supports individuals in the reduction of single-use plastics by improving access to taps to refill reusable water bottles.

You can join over 20,000+ businesses in keeping Britain hydrated whilst helping to prevent plastic pollution by becoming a ‘Refill Station’.

The benefits for Bassetlaw and your business are numerous:
• Better health – staying hydrated promotes wellness and reduces risk of infection
• Better environment – reduced use of single use plastics
• Better footfall – more foot traffic, and better involvement with the community

How does it work?

Refill works by connecting people who are looking for water with local organisations where they can Refill for free. Anyone can download the free app to find Refill Stations near them, where they can refill for free on to go. Participating cafes, bars, restaurants, shops, and other businesses simply sign up to the app and put a sticker in their window, showing passers-by that they’re welcome to go in and fill up their bottle.

How to get your tap on the map?

If you’re a business with a publicly accessible tap, then all you need to do is share a few details to create your free profile on the map. Once your station is live, you’ll be ready to welcome thirsty refillers and benefit from increased exposure and footfall as a result.

The easiest way to become a ‘refill station’ is to upload your business directly onto the app. Alternatively, visit https://refill.org.uk/add-refill-station/.

People in the local area using the app to find a refill station will be able to see your business.

The local Refill  poster can be printed and placed in your window – click to download: Bassetlaw Refill Poster  and there are also free window stickers upon request. Please email us to access.
