An opportunity has arisen for a bright, enthusiastic, and dedicated Apprentice Engineering Operative to join our team working on Steel Fabrication and Welding of components. You will work towards a Level 2 Engineering Operative apprenticeship standard with progression to a Level 3 Apprenticeship on successful completion of Level 2.
Apprenticeship summary
Annual wage: £10,004.80
Wage will be reviewed after 3 month probation period. Negotiable according to age and experience.
Working week
Monday – Friday, shifts to be confirmed. Total hours per week: 40.00
Expected duration: 36 Months
Possible start date: 15 Sep 2022
Apprenticeship level: Intermediate, Level 2 (GCSE)
Positions: 1 position available
What will the apprentice be doing?
Duties will include, but will not be limited to:
· Understanding reading drawings
· Cutting & processing components
· Fabrication & welding
· Cleaning & finishing
· Dealing with customers
· Any other duties required
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
In addition to the Level 2 Engineering Operative apprenticeship standard, you will receive the following training: Full induction in-house training on all company policies and procedures
All necessary Health and Safety training Level 1/2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required). End-Point Assessment (EPA)
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship, apprentices will be offered a full-time job. With an opportunity for progression within the business. Progression onto a Level 3 apprenticeship will be an option on completion of Level 2.

Own transport is desirable but not essential as H Mell and Sons are located in Beckingham which is 5 miles from Gainsborough.
