Press Release: CHRISTMAS ARRIVES IN NORTH NOTTS WITH WORKSOP AND RETFORD LIGHTS SWITCH ON
THE FESTIVE season is officially underway following the traditional Christmas lights switch-on in Worksop and Retford last weekend (November 30 and December 1).
Hundreds of residents enjoyed the annual extravaganzas which saw both towns host seasonal markets, live music, and fairground rides.
The festivities will continue throughout December with even more special market events where shoppers can discover fantastic stocking fillers for those hard-to-buy-for friends and relatives.
The events are being delivered by North Notts BID in partnership with the Retford and Worksop business forums, with support from Bassetlaw District Council.
Sally Gillborn, chief executive of North Notts BID said: “It was wonderful to see so many residents and visitors getting together to spread some Christmas spirit and support the North Notts businesses selling their wares. It fills us with great pride to see so many people supporting their local towns, and we’re looking forward to delivering a festive season to remember.”
For the chance to win vouchers to spend at any of the stalls at the stocking filler markets visit the North Notts BID Facebook page and enter the competition.
