North Notts BID is delighted to share with you details of our activities and spend for the period from 1st September 2021 to 31st August 2022 – the last year of our first five year term.

Some of the things the BID has focused on this year include: delivering our North Notts Business Crime Reduction Partnership, with 312 members at the end of this past year, helping BID members communicate incidents effectively and reporting retail crime and anti-social behaviour. The North Notts Nectar Trial came to the town centres, with 30 bee sculptures lighting up the towns to encourage footfall. The year also saw the BID’s annual events taking place, including Food Fest, Party In The Square and the Christmas Lights events. New events for the year included Dinosaur Discovery Day and the Pumpkin Patches for Halloween. Each event was a huge success, with Party In The Square being the biggest, encouraging around 8,000 people to the town of Retford throughout the day.
This past year, the BID supplied and installed 24 defibrillators on the industrial estates of the North Notts area. This was done after an enquiry made by member Melody Mason, and the BID is delighted to have been able to help and roll this out. Training courses have also been rolled out this term, including First Aid training and What Next career events.
We can’t wait for the year 2023 and see what our second term lets us achieve!
