Worksop Indoor Golf Centre is a fantastic new leisure facility based at the Vesuvius Industrial estate of Worksop. The golf centre was founded by David Warrender, opening in the summer of 2023. David comes from an engineering background and has always had a love for golf. This business venture has combined his passions to create a hidden gem which offers a unique experience for pro and amateur golfers. The centre provides somewhere to practice the sport all year round via golf simulators and a putting area – no matter the weather.
Phase 1 of the centre consists of four bays, each containing a simulator with a touch screen monitor and a small bar seating area, with the aim to create more bays in the future. Upon entering, you are welcomed at the reception desk by one of the centre’s lovely hosts, who will show you around and induct you on the equipment. The centre is a fully licensed premise, offering a range of bottled alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Alongside the licensed bottle bar, there is a SKY sports TV, showing any large fixtures and games. Non-golfers are also welcome to sit and enjoy a drink in the seating area or within one of the comfortable warm bays to watch their friends/family play. The 80m2 moveable putting area with a green side bunker allows people to focus on precision, accuracy and skill, with the simulators allowing practice of drive and swing techniques, monitoring exact ball distances and more!
One-to-one training sessions are available with PGA professional golfers, to help improve your skills even further. To fuel your energy levels, the centre is soon to start offering a food menu, including pizza, burgers and paninis. This means you can enjoy a session of indoor golf, a bottle of beer and some delicious food with your friends! The facility is also available to be hired out for corporate events and parties. This will allow you to engage with clients and business partners over a round of indoor golf. To discuss event bookings, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
This great new addition to Worksop is definitely worth a visit. The small friendly team is very efficient and welcoming, making you feel at ease on your visit. The centre is open to both men and women, and they are keen to see more females take up on the facility. For this to happen, they are looking into holding women’s only time sessions. Children are advised to be over the age of 6+ with beginners’ knowledge.
