Squiggles Playden is Retford’s vibrant indoor play centre, offering a fun, friendly, and safe space for children up to the age of 12 to explore and play. The centre features an impressive three-storey play structure, alongside a dedicated area designed especially for little ones aged 0 – 4.
Since opening its doors in December 2024, Squiggles Retford has quickly become a firm favourite with local families and will soon be celebrating their first birthday, with likely celebrations to take place. Founder Richard Sharp brings years of experience to the business, having already launched another successful Squiggles in Hucknall and another centre in Mansfield. His journey began with a creative twist by transforming two double-decker buses into mobile party buses with soft play onboard, before opening his first permanent centre in 2015.
At Squiggles Retford, visitors can book play sessions easily online, with entry starting from just £6 per child. The centre also offers a fantastic range of party packages from £105, including your own private party room and host, with optional hot and cold food choices to keep the kids energised. Private hire is also available for special celebrations, and the friendly, local team is always on hand to make each party truly memorable. The centre is fully air-conditioned, too, perfect for keeping everyone comfortable on those warmer summer days.
During the week, Squiggles hosts Parents and Toddlers sessions from Monday to Thursday, 9:30am – 3:00pm. These sessions include free crafts, engaging activities, and even a fun treasure hunt for little adventurers. Exciting new additions are also on the way, with a sensory play area and a baby play zone soon to be introduced, alongside classes designed for the youngest visitors. Squiggles’ 5* rated café serves up delicious meals and treats for both kids and adults. From family favourites like burgers, pizzas, pasta, and fish fingers to indulgent hot chocolates, iced coffees, and freshly baked cakes, there’s something for everyone. Don’t miss the popular ‘Mini Munchers Meal Deal’, available Monday to Friday from 3:30pm, making the perfect after-school treat that includes entry and a meal at a great price.
