Bassetlaw Food Bank was formed in 2012 to combat food insecurity and poverty in Bassetlaw. Primarily, the charity distributes emergency food parcels, delivering them across Bassetlaw to households in crisis.
They also support households by offering schemes that help increase the accessibility and affordability of food, like the Bassetlaw Community Shop. The Community Shop travels to different locations in Bassetlaw with limited access to affordable food shopping options. Residents can then purchase store cupboard essentials and a selection of fresh items, making the weekly food shop a little easier.
The BID would like to say a big thank you to the Food Bank for all their hard work!
