The RNN (Rotherham and North Notts) Group was formed in February 2016 through the merger of Rotherham College and North Notts College, the latter being the major post-16 educational provider in Bassetlaw accommodating 1000 full time and over 1275 part time students.The National Fluid Power Centre is a world leader for training in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical/electronics and associated control. The training courses combine first-class education with the most advanced practical training facilities in a specially designed laboratory.The area benefits from having access to six popular and high achieving Universities – Sheffield Hallam University, University of Sheffield, University of Lincoln, University of Nottingham, Nottingham Trent University and University of Derby.
