Porter & Brown Emporium Hair Salons, feedback on the North Notts BID Maintenance Service
Hear what BID Members Marianne Cumberworth and Helen Brown, Directors of Porter & Brown Emporium had to say about their experience with our Maintenance Operative and the service Andy delivered:
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Andy and North Notts BID for painting the railings at Porter & Brown Emporium on 56 Bridgegate, Retford.
The job looked very daunting to my business partner and myself, we were so grateful to be approached by BID Ambassador Joe, when we were prepping the railings for the undercoat, who informed us that North Notts BID would be able to do that for us.
Andy has worked so hard for 3 days non-stop, we have found him to be polite, courteous and friendly.
The railings look amazing now they have been completed, we are so grateful and would recommend this service and Andy to anyone”
About Porter and Brown Emporium:
Formerly Head 2 Toe, Porter and Brown Emporium began trading in July.
Marianne and Helen were previously employed by Nottingham College as Hairdressing and Barbering apprenticeship Tutors, which is how they met.
Together they decided to take the plunge and be masters of their own destiny which resulted in them becoming the directors of Porter & Brown Emporium Limited.
A hairdressing, Beauty and Barbering salon, offering a wide variety of services.
The last couple of months have been spent renovating the beautiful building as they felt it was desperately in need of some TLC, and their work continues as they add a new Barbershop and open up the ground floor by removing a couple of walls.
Currently they offer workshops in Hairdressing and Barbering, which are fully adapted to the requirements of each individual and are working towards offering NVQ and accredited courses.
October is an exciting month for the salon as a new services will be offered, inclusive of aesthetics, anti-wrinkle treatments and semi-permanent make up to add to the vast list of beauty services. The brand new Barber shop will also open next month offering traditional and current services along with hot towel shaving and male grooming packages.
Whilst the hair salon offers everything from cutting, colouring to bridal and prom packages, in the near future they plan to venture and expand offering Botox and Dermal fillers.
Helen and Marianne expressed that “Retford has been a positive experience so far, meeting friendly and helpful people not only in the salon but out in the town also.”
