Business Support Service – Emergency First Aid at Work Course

North Notts BID Members are able to access our latest ‘BID Member Deal’ we are offering spaces onto the Emergency First Aid at Work, 1-day course which is HSE compliant. 

Once completed you will be a qualified First Aider and will receive a 3-year certification.

Emergency First Aid at Work is aimed at low-to-medium risk environments or where Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines indicate staff should hold a certificate in Emergency First Aid at Work; the HSE recommends that if you work in a company with 5 -50 workers, there should be at least one person trained in first aid.

To put one employee through this course it can cost from £90+ VAT to £135 + VAT. The BID are offering this course FREE OF CHARGE to BID Members.

Time: 9am Arrival – 4:30pm Finish.

More information on the Course:

This 1-day course provides a basic overview of the core elements of first aid. As a result, learners are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to respond effectively to a range of accidents and first aid emergencies in the workplace.

Learners are introduced to the roles and responsibilities of the first aider and legal requirements in the workplace. In addition to learning how to carry out a scene survey and casualty assessment, students are taught how to check for responsiveness, open an airway, and check for breathing.

Practical lessons include CPR, choking, the recovery position, bleeding, and burns. Especially relevant is the lesson on how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) due to this now being recognised as a vital step in Basic Life Support.
