NORTHERN WAREHOUSING SUCCESS STORY CONTINUES

A Northern warehousing and distribution company, that has undergone a significant period of expansion and growth in the last 12 months, has received BRC accreditation at its distribution centres across the Sheffield City Region for the third consecutive year.

Carlton Forest Group, based in North Nottinghamshire, has achieved AA status from the British Retail Consortium for its facilities in Worksop, and the recently acquired Barnsley sites. It is the highest accolade offered by the well respected and well recognised industry organisation.

“We are incredibly please to have retained AA status at our Worksop site and to have gained it for the first time at our Barnsley site, highlighting the credibility of our operations and our commitment to the highest standards,” said Graham White Group Commercial Manager. “We have a fantastic team at all levels who are committed to upholding the high standards and vision for success that the senior leadership team has.”

Achieving AA status means that Carlton Forest has achieved success in all areas of its business operations, and perhaps most importantly, that it has maintained those standards consistently since first achieving the status in 2017. It is the only third party logistics business in the Worksop area to have the BRC grade AA certification for storage and distribution.

Graham concluded; “Having such a high level, well respected industry accreditation has undoubtedly assisted in the recent growth of the business. And, as the business continues to develop its future plans, it will play a pivotal part in securing and retaining customers, to whom such standards are critical.”

This highly regarded standard was developed by industry experts to secure the attainment and maintenance of high standards for product safety and operational management, supply chain for organisations involved in the storage and distribution, including wholesale activities, of food and non-food products.

Carlton Forest is one of the leading independent warehousing, co-packing and distribution centres in the North of England and the Midlands. Its bespoke solutions give companies the flexibility they need to facilitate efficient supply chain systems and movement of goods from all sectors across the country and beyond.
