Retford’s annual Party in the Square returns to the town centre on Sunday 27th August 2023, on bank holiday weekend. This event is amazingly popular and free-to-attend, guarantee to entertain you with an afternoon of live music, food & drink.
With a brilliant line up of acts again this year on the big stage, local talent ‘the Bowkers’ kick things off with their own blend of swing and classic pop at 1.30pm. Sets from top tributes to Dua Lipa, the Spice Girls and Take That will provide an afternoon of music for all tastes and ages with the show rounded off with a mix of classic dance tunes from DJ Tim Asher finishing at 7.30pm.
A smaller amount of local street food vendors will be selling food and drink this year but please remember to support your local businesses in Retford by visiting the many shops, cafes, restaurants and bars that will be open for this fabulous free event.
Alcohol will be available from the onsite bar on the square but we respectfully ask you to consume your drinks responsibly and only drink on the square itself in line with the licencing restrictions. Please avoid bringing glasses and bottles for health and safety reasons.
